Happy Birthday

Now, I know Emily has a thing for Silent Hill. I was unsure as to who was her favourite character though...in the end, I chose to draw Heather Mason because I love her character design (Even though you only see, like, a ninth of it here) and she's one of my favourite female video game characters. I really hope Emily likes it, though. >.<;

Oh man~ This thing took three days of on and off work and twenty three layers. I'm still not entirely happy with it but I feel this is as far as I can take it without ruining it at my current skill level. The most difficult thing to draw in this image was Heather's hair and jacket. My favourite things in this image are Heather's orange, turtle neck, vest top, the chain link fences and the overall 'red' theme (TBH, I think I used the wrong shade of red...).

There are a few 'hidden things' in this image. Some of it is lazy symbolism. Some of it I put in for giggles. Some of it's actually relevant.

Eee~ I nearly forgot to draw Heather's freckles. XD

I'm debating as to whether to go back and add flecks of blood to Heather's jacket or not...

Heather Mason, Valtiel, Pyramid Head and Silent Hill are not mine and all belong to Konami. I just drew and made references to them in this image.

Edit: I totally only just noticed that Heather's fringe and parting is on the wrong side on the US cover for Silent Hill 3. Flipped image FTL.
